Red Lentil Dahl


A simple, Indian-inspired dish, surprisingly flavourful and packed with plant-based proteins.
Served with basmati rice and  sprinkled with toasted almonds.

Cooking instructions:

  1. Empty the ingredients from the packet into a pot & add the same amount of cold water (use packet to measure).
  2. Let stand for 20 minutes to re-hydrate.
  3. Bring to a boil & cook for 5 – 8 minutes.
  4. Stir occasionally & add more water, as needed.
  5. Remove from the heat & let stand to cool for 5 minutes.


  • Grains & Legumes: Basmati Rice, Red Lentils
  • Fruit & Veg             : Carrot, Lemon, Onion, Tomato
  • Herbs & Spices       : Black Pepper, Chilli, Coriander, Cumin, Garam Masala, Garlic, Ginger, Sea Salt, Turmeric, Yellow Mustard Seeds
