Sweet Red Bean Spread


Tsubushian Anko, a gently mashed sweet red bean paste, is a core filling in classic Japanese confections. Our spread is slightly sweetened with sweet potato and dates. Enjoy by adding to pastries, bread and biscuits. A delightful option for those with a sweet tooth.

To prepare:
1. Mix with boiling water and stir. Allow time for rehydration.
Optional: Add a dash of olive oil for extra flavour and creaminess.
2. After approximately 10 minutes, the spread will be ready to enjoy. Keep in mind that it will continue to thicken and expand over the next 20 minutes. Adjust the water quantity to achieve your preferred consistency.
